1) Members of the council will conduct an informal interview with you
at the PDMC meeting place on a date acceptable to both parties to
determine your level of interest in magic. Usually this takes place on an open evening.
2) On completion of the interview, if we felt it necessary, we would allocate
someone to act as a mentor to you whilst you prepare for the audition that is
required of all candidates. The mentor could advise you on aspects of content
for your audition or just be there to answer questions you may have. The audition
should last for about 10 minutes.
3) Depending on the programme for the evening you may be invited to stay on the
night of your audition, but pleased do not be offended if you’re not.
4) You will be notified of the councils decision within 7 days and if successful
you will then be required to pay a one off joining fee,
together with the first years annual member's fee. Once all monies have been
received by the club treasurer the council will be informed and a suitable
date for your induction into the circle will be agreed. You cannot be inducted
until the fees have been paid.
5) As a paid up member you can then attend all lectures at PDMC and all Club nights
free of charge. After a four week qualifying period you will have access to the
club library and may borrow books, video tapes and some DVD’s. Books are loaned
free but there is a modest charge for video’s and DVDs.
6) On your induction you will be required to make a solemn promise that you will
uphold with dignity the rules and objectives of the circle. You will also receive
a welcome folder on your induction evening.
